DFD holders can stake DFD in a vault which accrues value over time. DFD, the governance token of DefiDollar Finance, allows one to take part in governance contributing to key protocol changes.
Whats new in staking V2
Fee sharing introduced with 2 new parameters
1. Unstaking period: Once staked, funds locked in for 7 days
2. Withdrawal period: After 7 days, window to withdraw funds. Funds staked again if not withdrawn in the window
Migration from v1 to v2
Migrate funds from v1 to v2 to earn protocol fee; DFD staked in v1 will not receive any protocol fee
p.s: No withdrawal fee for migration!
Fee Accrual
DFD earns income from ibBTC, which is then distributed among the stakers. Rewards are claimable at end of every week. Users can also let the rewards accumulate longer & claim later at once
